This fat juju @BNXN too Dey lie Abeggi! Which one is “there’s no artist in the world that hasn’t texted me in one way or the other” 💩just because @burnaboy and @wizkidayo texted u 🤣
Me & Asake met in 2020, I met him before he dropped Omo ope, he texted me May 13th and sent me a file, I sent him a song and then he was like he has a song and if I jump on it it will be so crazy, most times I have 2 thoughts when someone says that maybe they don’t like what I sent to them, everybody has texted me but I can’t be friends with everybody, no artiste in this world hasn’t texted me for something one way or the other”
—-Buju BNXN on how he met Asake before Asake blew up 🗣️
Asake vs Rema debate is something I never want to see on my timeline because, it’s such an insult.
Beyond the music, there’s character. Despite all his success, Rema has maintained a solid relationship with Don Jazzy and stayed loyal to the label that believed in him. Asake on the other hand, left amid contract disputes with the label that helped build his career.
Musically, Rema is Asake’s OG. He broke out around the same era with Burna Boy and also carved his own lane without relying on features from any of the Big 3. He boldly turned down a Wizkid feature, while Asake embraced the opportunity. Even without those co signs, Rema has achieved more on the global stage.
Rema is more global, more versatile, more lyrically gifted, and far more innovative in his artistry than Asake. I’m sure you know what I mean.
The only thing Asake has over Rema is tattoos.
Burna Boy got emotional after being asked to make a wish for his 35th birthday, revealing his only desire right now is for God to bless him with children. This actually touched me 🥺❤️
Wizkid topped global Spotify with "One Dance" in 2016 thanks to Drake's impact. And, Burna reached number one on the global Spotify thanks to Shakira's influence.
Remember both Wizkid and Burna have collaborated more than one on songs but has never peaked. Without these global superstars, their wouldn't reach this milestone.
