99.5% of stablecoins are centralized.
Ethereum Foundation is hosting a live session tomorrow on the alternative.
Tune in 5pm UTC. We're covering how trustless stablecoins actually work and what you can do with fxUSD that you can't do with USDC.

The most important feature in crypto cards isnât cashback or FX rates.
Itâs the freedom to actually own your card.
That promise rarely gets explained clearly, so let me break it down from a user perspective.
Most crypto cards today work like this:
you onboard â you deposit funds â you accept the rules of that app.
Cashback changes?
Incentives disappear?
UX goes downhill?
Your only real option is to exit:
move funds, pay fees, re-onboard somewhere else, and start from zero.
Thatâs not ownership.
Thatâs just a nicer version of lock-in for your stablecoin spend.
This is where @gnosispay is fundamentally different, and why, as a user, you should care.
By default, cards powered by GP are self-custodial and composable.
Your account is not tied to one single interface. It can connect to different apps over time.
So if tomorrow:
âą an app weakens its incentive program
âą another interface offers better UX
âą a new app fits your lifestyle better
You donât âleaveâ your card.
You donât move funds.
You donât KYC again.
You simply connect the same Gnosis Pay account to a different app.
Same balance.
Same cards.
Same ownership.
Now tracking @hydration_net's HOLLAR coin on our Stablecoins Dashboard
HOLLAR is minted against crypto collateral deposited by users into the protocol, inheriting the same proven architecture as the Aave GHO protocol
Most of my crypto career, I never felt bigger respect and seriousness towards any other crypto product and construct than stablecoins.
While it was somewhere in the back of my mind from 2014 (either as a necessity to unlock practical use cases or just not being satisfied with existing alternatives) - I wasnât sure about doing it until last year.
It still feels a lil bit surreal that yesterday happened and it works :)
As always thanks for the patience and most importantly for your support giving us the chance to get here.
