My pandemic self-care strategy is a daily walk, which isn't always easy in rainy Portland! The accuracy of the weather forecast has become essential. What are you finding helpful in making the world feel a little less unpredictable? #MentalHealth https://t.co/jeye08Htlk
Asking better questions can help us get more meaningful information out of our data systems, especially if we think about the intention of our questions. Here's how that can work: https://t.co/e959yOmJ3H #MentalHealth#BehavioralHealth#MissionDriven
@StuckonSW@TheGinaGi@DataLitProject@TJDoesData@TheKingofData I agree with the other folks who have pointed out that our math curriculum doesn't prepare people to be well-informed voters/citizens/consumers. I'm not sure how to fix this, and I worry that people tend to compensate for a lack of knowledge by completely distrusting all data.
Let's de-bunk the myth that data can't help you understand how people feel about services. Attendance and engagement metrics can definitely give you an important piece of that puzzle!

The 1-week challenge starts today! Let's start by thinking about strengths. What are your most meaningful current measurements? Which ones help you connect to and focus on your mission? #Mentalhealth#behavioralhealth#measurewhatmatters#data4good

These are tricky times. We're all worthy of having someone to see us, to support us, and to care about us. Even if that someone is ourselves. #MentalHealth#BehavioralHealth#MissionDriven
@lauranissen Something to unlearn: that being, acting, dressing, and speaking in a "professional" way can be defined or even described independent from our inherent biases.

@TravisSowards @OpenAcademics There are a lot of good suggestions already here and I may have missed this but, for everyday writing, I really like the book Everybody Writes by Ann Handley.

@jrphirsch@DukeHospital This sounds awful. It sounds like you're doing all the right things, but it has to be so frustrating! I'm sure you've looked into this - I was just wondering if there might be an advocacy route through a patient rights entity in your state, maybe?
@jrphirsch Excellent points. I know it took a lot of effort for therapists to come around to the idea of sharing their documentation with clients, especially while they were still in treatment. I wonder if a similar culture shift is what the hospital systems need.
It's been a while, but this week I'm back with another #DataFunFriday. I'm sharing some tools that #BehavioralHealth agencies can use with a simple set of data and Power BI to see trends in services in the midst of this crisis. Here's the link: https://t.co/IYdMJDvI3u
Some things for #BehavioralHealth agencies to keep in mind as we use data to understand the changes that have affected our services the past few months.
