I had a great time joining the Boiling Point crew on WAIF 88.3 FM. Below is a copy of the podcast episode we recorded. We discuss the Appellate Court process, how appeals can shape our legal system, and what it means to me to serve as a Judge.

Anyone who heard my 2018 stump speech knows how much I love Cincinnati sports. Last night, I attended the Cincinnati Cyclones game with Jamie and the boys! This was fitting, as my older son and Jamie are joining the Junior Cyclones next year. 🏒🥅
The Cyclones winning in overtime was exciting, but even more exciting was the starting line. For the first time in Cyclone (and perhaps first time in pro hockey?) history, the starting line were all players of color.
Have you been checked by your doctor recently? In Ohio, insurers are required to cover breast-cancer screening for all adult women. You can also perform a self-breast exam at home if going to the doctor isn’t an option: https://t.co/JD9eU612pP
Today, the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners recognized me and other breast cancer survivors, as well as organizations that support the fight against this disease, as part of an event to promote awareness as the best form of prevention.
Today my friends, the Hamilton County Commissioners, proudly raised the Juneteenth flag in honor of the Juneteenth holiday and to acknowledge both our progress and the crucial work that remains in the pursuit of racial justice and equality in our nation.
I believe that striving for equity and inclusion brings us together as a community. That’s why I’m proud to call this community my home! #HappyPrideMonth

I joined colleagues and friends today in front of the Courthouse to raise the Pride flag in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ community in Hamilton County & the beginning of #PrideMonth in June.
This is an important step in the righteous pursuit of fairness, equality, and safety for all. Speakers at the ceremony today acknowledged that this pursuit goes beyond visibility.
I’ve met many incredible people in the past several years. But few have the passion and energy of my friend, Kathy Brinkman. Last night, Kathy was awarded the American Jewish Committee’s Judge Learned Hand award. Congratulations, Kathy!
There were a few very well organized, engaging events this past week that I was grateful to attend, including:
🏳️🌈 HRC’s Annual Gala
📖 Job fair at the UC College of Law
🎉 Clerk of Court Pavan V. Parikh’s swearing-in ceremony
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Great to see my friends on the Westside yesterday! I gave updates on our work at the Courthouse & discussed current legislation to redraw the 1st District, which would limit accountability and impact fairness & impartiality in Hamilton County’s highest court. The work continues💪🏼
What a great Dey! I took my boy to his first @Bengals game and wow was it a good one!
Halftime featured cancer survivors ringing the bell. As a #cancersurvivor, I deeply appreciate the Bengals celebrating survivors and honoring those we lost.
Who Dey!!!
My family and I spent the day at my alma mater @miamiuniversity. I showed my boys the campus then watched @MiamiOH_Hockey destroy Ferris State at @gogginicecenter. My youngest wants to go to Miami before culinary school. My oldest wants to play hockey for Miami. Dream big!!!
The First District Court of Appeals held an official court session today at Finneytown Elementary. Holding court in the community helps provide transparency and allows more members of the public to see first-hand what our court does. Thanks to @FinneytownLocal for hosting!
What a fun day at @CincinnatiPride! I walked with @kwfliving_ - a wonderful organization that provides days of fun to women with breast cancer. My first grader and I had so much fun today! I saw lots of friends with whom I’ve campaigned, like @JenniferBrunner Happy Pride!
I had the privilege of attending Career Day at Whitaker Elementary on Friday. One of my favorite perks of my job is having the opportunity to interact with children who are interested in the legal system. Big thanks to @FinneytownLocal for inviting me!
