There’s still a buzz in the air after @ToledoFB pulled off an incredible comeback on Saturday. Down by 14 pts with just 1:05 left, the Rockets scored 2 TDs in 11 seconds — and then won in OT! This Saturday will be even bigger as @ToledoFB welcomes @AztecFB from @pac12 into the Glass Bowl for a nationally televised game on @CBSSportsNet. I’ll see you at the game … and let’s do this #ForToledo 🚀
After Toledo’s big comeback win over Temple, coach Mike Jacobs with a message to Rockets fans ahead of visit from San Diego State:
“We anticipate a massive game this Saturday. I encourage, implore, beg folks to show up for this football team. 12 o’clock. They need to be here early, they need to bring four friends, and we have to figure out how to fill this place out for a big college football game.”
Comeback of the year?
Toledo trailed Temple by 14 with under 70 seconds to go. And within a 12-second span, they scored twice with an onside kick sandwiches between.
On the Rockets’ thrilling 49-48 OT win:

Abysmal showing guys, we need to do better and show up for the boys. This ain’t a Candle team where they put in minimal effort and get by on talent. These boys are working to the bone to get wins and should be rewarded by having the fan base wake the hell up and show out
Still hard to believe what we saw Saturday at the Glass Bowl.
With 2:23 left, Toledo faced 4th-and-8 at own 19, trailing by 14. ESPN’s win-probability model gave Temple 99.9 percent odds. The live money line on UT? +9800. No more than a couple thousand diehards remained.
Then ... a rally for the ages.
Column on the resilient Rockets and an unforgettable day in Toledo.

Down 42-28 with a little more than a minute to go, UT scored, recovered an onsides kick, scored again to tie it and force overtime. In OT, they got a defensive stop on Temple’s 2-pt conversion attempt for the win - and the Rockets win it 49-48 in dramatic fashion.
Here’s a recap of how Toledo pulled off a miracle:
Down 14 with 71 seconds left.
Rockets scored first in OT. Temple answered & went for 2 & the win…Toledo found a way. Huge win for Mike Jacobs team.
This night of CFB is ALL about storylines.
West Florida announced in APRIL they’d be moving from D2 to FCS.
They entered tonight as around a +650 underdog on some books.
They just beat Southern Illinois out of the MVC. What. An. Evening. Of. CFB.
By my count, the 5 FCS teams losing the most transfers to the FBS so far are:
Mercer - 13
Sac State - 11
Weber State - 10
Holy Cross - 9
North Dakota State - 8
