This suggests that management don’t consider each student to be an individual learner, but instead see them as cash cows and so hence the herd mentality that no one will be affected

Birkbeck management trying to say @ucu is exaggerating but even though the cuts are uneven a large number of subjects areas facing cuts to academic staff well above 25%. On my (rough) calculations subjects facing over 40% are: Geography, Philosophy, Maths and Stats, English 1/4
