@StuAU47 @PrimitiveAK Just so we're clear. You can make a new account and still use the dics of the games you paid for. Can't do that with your digital purchases. They're tied to your account. Companies like the big 3 (Sony, Xbox, and Nintendo) will tell you to shove it and buy all the games again.

@Shpeshal_Nick Ownership of games is a completely different issue that this also tackles in one push: license and not ownership. There are lots of angles by getting rid of physical games.

@Shpeshal_Nick That's because there are 1000s of games that don't have physical copies. For ex. the PS5 version of FF7 OG. No physical. Only a digital version. Their data is 100% skewed. Every single game on the store doesn't have a physical copy. So only a handfull are represented in the data.

@Shpeshal_Nick It's not evil, it' just a bad data set to push all digital platforms where they can bump up pricing and players don't have a choice for exclusives. Plus they've tested variable pricing on the store already. So 0 trust in their digital storefront price wisw.

@PlayStation @PS_Support_UK @PlayStation We want our games on a disk. Digitals have their place; but your EULA section 3.2.2 says we don't own the games we buy. Which is a big deal that anticonsumerism is in the EULA. We put you on the map. Respect your players. This disrespect won't stand.

@PlayStation I will only care if you keep physical disks. I like being able to share my games with my friends and owning physical games. You guys are taking that away. Reverse that decision and keep physicals alive.

@JohnnyGaming9 A week beflre the announcement, they literally removed 500 films that people bought on the PS Store. 0 refunds. 0 warning. This us massive precedent for this backlash and it's well warrented. If they can do it to films, they can do it to your games. All on the same store, btw.
