Check out #5 @JackWells27 with the catch and score for a @MarionTx_FB TOUCHDOWN!!! 🏈🐾
Special thanks to Kay Blevins for the sideline video.

[Jackson Wells @JackWells27]

I’m extremely excited to announce that I have verbally committed to the University of Texas at Arlington to continue my academic and athletic career!

I have dreamed of this moment since I was 9 years old. Thank you to God, my family, coaches, teammates, teachers and everyone who has helped me along the way. I’m grateful for every person who has pushed me, coached me and believed in me.

A special thank you to Coach Trapasso and the entire @UTAMavsBSB staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue playing this game as a two-way player at the Division I level. I’m fired up for what’s ahead and ready to get to work.

Proud to be a Maverick!

Jackson Wells (‘27, TX) delivered great strikeout stuff over 6+ innings featuring 9 punchouts. The fastball hovers in the mid 80’s and tops 88, big loopy 12-6 curve gets plenty of whiffs from that over-the-top slot. Also mixes in a changeup with some run vs lefties. Struggled with command at times but is loaded with potential. #SouthWS @PG_Uncommitted

[Perfect Game Texas @Texas_PG]

Jackson Wells (‘27, TX) showed off electric stuff over 3 shutout innings out of the ‘pen. Fastball sat mid-80’s and topped out at 89 and the 12-6 curve in the 69-71 range worked very effectively from the over-the-top arm slot. Also featured a changeup to lefties that got lots of swings and misses. Tall frame, the high release point, and top tier command over three pitches makes him very projectable. #StateChamp @PG_Uncommitted

Got the ball from RF to finish it last night at the @FiveTool #MattinglyWS

Came in down 4-2 with 2 outs and runners on 1st & 2nd and got us out of the inning. Went back out for the last frame, worked around a walk, got a punchout on three pitches, and finished it with an 0-2 ground ball to keep it within reach.

1.1 IP | 1 K | 1 BB | 17 pitches (11 strikes)

Really liked how all three pitches were working. Got swings and misses with the FB and CH, and the CB kept hitters off balance and produced weak contact.

@brody_beck20 walked it off to send us into the Connie Mack Championship Bracket.

Back at it tonight at 7PM on Flord Z-Plex Judson, available to hit the mound again. 👊⚾️ 🎥⬇️

Big team win to start Day 1 of the Marion Varsity Tournament.
Took advantage of a 1–0 fastball and drove it out to left for a grand slam — first HR of the season.

First game, first W.
Great team win for @stsliders Navy 16u @tx_pierce. Focused on filling up the zone and defense was lights out having my back getting outs. Missed lots of barrels for weak contact. Felt good. Still work to do this summer.
