Logistical question for a 4x game.
Player A sends a settler to establish a settlement in Player B's territory. When this happens, Player B has the option to attack Player A's settler and prevent him from establishing a settlement.
In the case that Player B attacks, which player does it make more sense for the game rules to consider the defense?
I've had players argue that A is defending his settler and B is defending his land, but I would prefer the more intuitive option. It matters for some in-game effects.
@Ashrubel@fgthemiserable I didn't say no sex if not forever, but it has a way of messing with relationships in ways you don't intend that have a high likelihood of driving a massive wedge between you and your sibling and complicating relationships down the line.
@HJoshington Technically player B, though this should be clarified. I think I'm going to rebrand it in the rules as territorial defense to remove ambiguity

@HMidwesterner Oh yeah, it's a relatively minor decision for a niche rule that doesn't come up often and I just wanted to go with what feels the most natural to people
@reetardee So it wouldn't matter which is which most of the time, but there are a few modifiers or abilities that only function if the player is on offense or defense, so the question needs to be answered in the rules if they apply
@gaersstapa The rule is you get 3 AP but they must be used on different actions. There are 9 different actions that may be used. So you can settle/attack/upgrade, or spread influence/attack/worship, but you can't attack/attack/settle.
