Wondering why #IstandwithNHSstaff is trending? Because today NHS staff across the country were devastated to see thousands of people marching through London.
We’ve buried our colleagues. And we won’t let you spit on their graves.

“It is clear that women who resist male violence are punished most severely, whereas men who throttle their wives to death for no apparent reason are just ‘tragic’ figures.”

Can anyone from @bbcnews explain why this is the lead story online - and not the fact that a High Court judge just ruled that the health secretary @MattHancock broke the law in his awarding of multimillion pound PPE contracts?

Year in, year out for decades #Nurses in General Practice have delivered the bulk of the flu vaccinations to the population of the U.K. @theRCN
It is therefore concerning that @MattHancock is apparently unaware that #Nursing has delivered the #flucampaign for so long. 1/
Hmm...if this is in ANY way accurate, where the heck is @CNOEngland!? Given that the (infection related) public health is driven on the shop floor by Infection prevention & public health NURSES @patcp66@IPS_Infection
This is welcome news indeed - but it should *never* have taken public pressure to ensure our student nurses - who stepped up so bravely against #COVID19 - were properly paid. The govt's attempt to renege on this commitment was utterly contemptible.

He also admits:
* That he went to Durham purely as a precaution
* That he and his wife both travelled to hospital despite both having Covid symptoms
* That he drove back 250 miles despite physical impairments
This whole thing is an absolute insult to NHS staff
