Survivors Warriors: No matter how the vote goes, I give you Atticus: “I wanted you to know, Jem, that courage is not a man with a gun in his hand. Courage is when you know you’re licked but you begin anyway and you see It through. You don’t often win. But sometimes you do.” - Lee

Middle children are empaths, peacemakers, negotiators — and an endangered species. @sternbergh looks at a world in which families continue to shrink and the number of middle children dwindles https://t.co/q9VTWlrACm

The Holocaust was legal. Slavery was legal. Segregation was legal.

The brave woman who cared for and hid my 6 year-old aunt in an attic in Budapest was a criminal. She broke the law by sheltering Juden.

Legality is not a guide for morality.

[Brandon H @brandon_r_horan]

When you see innocent kids being put in tents sleeping on floor after getting ripped from their parents and your response is “Did they come here legally?”, then we don’t have a difference in political opinion.

We have a difference in morality.

This is Anthony Borges, 15. He used his body to hold a classroom door shut, protecting 20 other students inside as the gunman fired through the door, hitting him five times. Let's pray for his speedy recovery. 🙏🏾

I am so angry tonight. I am so sad. I’m putting my phone down because we are debating sensible gun laws again. A child of one of our friend’s has a bullet in his chest & is critical condition because a 19 year old had access to a military weapon. Pretend it’s normal. It’s not.
