13. Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable Laptop

Another rollable laptop is here, and this one is so cool.

Unlike prior concepts, this one expands horizontally. So, it offers a portable ultra-wide gaming experience without having to use a big gaming monitor.

Here’s what the Legion Pro Rollable laptop has:
• Flexible OLED panel
• 2 modes: 16" focus mode and 24" arena mode
• The display expands using a motorised mechanism with sensors and internal tracks that ensure the screen stays rigid and flat once fully extended
• Ultra-wide gaming with a broader FoV in supported titles
• Great for multitasking, it allows the user to snap multiple windows side-by-side and it won’t feel cramped because of how wide it is
• Dynamic cooling that ensures better airflow when the screen it rolled out

For now, this product is just a concept.

Yes, it is a keyboard with all the PC components that you'd expect inside.

Expected to be launched in March, this "Keyboard PC" has:
• 12 mm thickness, 726 grams weight
• AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processor with 50 TOPS NPU
• Radeon 800M Series graphics
• Built-in cooling fans
• User-replaceable 35 Wh internal battery for ~3.5 hours of battery life (optional)
• Stereo speakers
• 2 mm key travel
• Up to 64 DDR5 RAM, 2 TB storage
• Integrated fingerprint scanner (optional)
• Windows 11 Pro

This is not a truly new concept, but it is still rare to see a whole Windows-based PC integrated into a keyboard.

3. Dell XPS lineup is back!

Dell admitted that they made a huge mistake of removing the XPS lineup of laptops after just one year.

Here’s what the new XPS 14 and 16 laptops brought to the market:
• Dell’s thinnest laptops, at just 14.6 mm thick
• XPS 14 is 0.5 pounds lighter than the previous version, while the XPS 16 is almost a full pound lighter
• Latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chip with Intel Arc graphics
• Completely redesign thermal system, with its largest and thinnest yet
• Thinner and narrower 4K camera
• First to use the smaller, lighter, and denser 900ED battery cells
• Tandem OLED display option, with the 2K LCD variant having “the best battery life in the industry”
• It uses a traditional function row instead of a capacitive touch function row
• The XPS logo is placed on the front cover now!

They said that the XPS 13 will be coming soon, with other form factors & configurations at varying price points coming later this year.

Dell also said they are getting back to their roots by expanding their laptop segments to a much wider range.

Lego made some noise by making its first appearance at CES this year.

It announced a new system that lets you play with Lego more interactively by using technology, with several tools that work together.

• Smart Brick reacts to your every move (twists, taps, and more), and it senses the other components like Smart Tags and Smart Minifigures. It has responsive lights, colour-recognition scanner, accelerometer, and a sound synthesiser
• Smart Tags interact with Smart Brick by telling it how to behave or sound like (like a car, helicopter, or even a toilet)
• Smart Minifigures let the Smart Bricks play unique sounds, moods, and reactions for every minifigure they see

There will be several All-in-One sets from Lego Star Wars that are ready to pre-order starting today.

It will be launched on March 1 in select markets.

Everyone who worked at Uber in 2017 know this but after the whole shit storm, in 2018, the now CEO Dara would answer anonymous questions posted by Uber employees during the all-hands. The anonymous questions became increasingly rude & not conducive for collaborative discussion about the company.

These rude questions would get great upvotes & engagement because obviously many people found it entertaining.

So at some point the office of the CEO decided anonymity wasn’t working. After they took away the anonymous Q&A for the all hands I remember civility returned & things cooled off a bit.
