EMIR OF KATSINA TO TINUBU’S TEAM: “WIN HEARTS FIRST , THE NORTH IS SUFFERING!” 🔥🇳🇬
“POLITICS IS NOT MADNESS!” Emir of Katsina Drops Hard Truth on Empty Promises & Insecurity
As someone who works in the Nigerian paint industry, this is honestly ridiculous. B-Red, who is not particularly popular, is supposedly receiving ₦200 million from Armstrong Paints, a paint company I have never even heard of in the market.
The three major publicly listed paint companies in Nigeria are CAP Plc, Berger Paints Nigeria Plc, and Meyer Plc. In 2025, they reportedly recorded revenues of ₦44.86 billion, ₦12.99 billion, and ₦4.23 billion, respectively.
Now, I can tell you for a fact that none of these companies, as big as they are, would casually spend ₦200 million on a brand ambassadorship alone, especially in today’s market.
Let’s even use Berger Paints as an example. Their most premium paint variant called Luxol Gold retails at minimum of ₦270,000 per 20-litre bucket. Do you know how many buckets ₦200 million would buy? Approximately 740 buckets, or 14,800 litres of premium paint, at retail price alone. At factory cost, the volume would be significantly higher.
Now imagine the production capacity that amount of money represents, not to mention the additional budget required for billboards, lampposts, content production, media placements, activations, and other campaign expenses.
And this is where the whole thing becomes questionable. We are talking about a company that most people in the industry do not even consider when discussing the major players in the Nigerian paint market, yet it is supposedly paying ₦200 million for an ambassador.
I also noticed that the giant cheques circulating online appear to have discrepancies. Couldn’t they at least have ensured that the two cheques looked different?
Honestly, this looks highly suspicious to me, and I would not be surprised if there is more to this arrangement than we are being told. This is my suspicion, not a verified finding of money laundering.
Whoever is advising them on this campaign clearly needs to take a closer look at the commercial realities of the different industries. They should have come to me for consultation.
Breaking News; Rep. AbdusSamad Dasuki has once again raised the alarm over a fraudulent provision in the Electoral Act, which we believe poses a serious threat to the integrity of the 2027 elections.
As seen in the video, even the Speaker of the House, who is a member of President Bola Tinubu’s APC, appeared visibly unhappy with Dasuki raising the matter on the floor of the Assembly.
We therefore call on opposition leaders and all Nigerians to demand an explanation and insist that the National Assembly reject this attempt to undermine the people’s mandate.
