इ.स. १६६५ मधील पुरंदरचा वेढा हा हिंदवी स्वराज्यातील महत्त्वपूर्ण आणि भीषण संघर्ष होता. या रणसंग्रामात हिंदवी स्वराज्याचे शूर सरदार मुरारबाजी देशपांडे यांनी दाखवलेले अद्वितीय शौर्य इतिहासात अजरामर झाले. शिवाजी महाराजांचा कायमचा बंदोबस्त करण्यासाठी औरंगजेबाने मिर्झाराजे जयसिंह यांची निवड केली. मिर्झाराजा जयसिंहांसोबत दिलेरखान, दाऊदखान, सुजनसिंह बुंदेला यांसारखे नामांकित सरदार आणि प्रचंड सैन्य देण्यात आले. मिर्झाराजा जयसिंहांनी महाराष्ट्रातील वतनदार, देशमुख आणि शिवरायांच्या विरोधकांशी संपर्क साधून स्वराज्याची सर्व बाजूंनी कोंडी करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. पुण्यात आल्यानंतर त्यांनी घाटमार्ग, लोहगड, जुन्नर आणि तळकोकण परिसरात मजबूत लष्करी ठाणी उभारली.

शिवाजी महाराज राजगडावरून परिस्थितीवर बारकाईने लक्ष ठेवून होते. मार्च १६६५ मध्ये मिर्झाराजांनी सासवडकडे कूच केले आणि अखेरीस पुरंदर मोहिमेची सुरुवात झाली. पुरंदर हा स्वराज्याच्या दृष्टीने अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा आणि बलाढ्य किल्ला होता. या दुर्गाच्या पूर्वेस वज्रगड हा दुर्ग होता. वज्रगड शत्रूच्या ताब्यात गेला तर तेथून पुरंदरवर थेट तोफांचा मारा करता येत असे. पुरंदरच्या संरक्षणाची जबाबदारी पराक्रमी सरदार मुरारबाजी देशपांडे यांच्यावर होती. मुरारबाजी देशपांडे यांचे मूळ गाव रायगड जिल्ह्यातील किंजळोली होते. सुरुवातीला ते जावळीच्या चंद्रराव मोरे यांच्या सेवेत होते. इ.स. १६५६ मध्ये शिवाजी महाराजांनी जावळी जिंकण्यासाठी मोहीम उघडली तेव्हा मुरारबाजींनी मोऱ्यांच्या बाजूने अत्यंत शौर्याने लढा दिला. त्यांच्या तलवारीचा वेग, युद्धकौशल्य आणि निडर वृत्ती पाहून महाराजांनी शत्रूपक्षात असूनही त्यांच्या पराक्रमाचा सन्मान करून त्यांना स्वराज्याच्या सेवेत घेतले.

पुरंदर किल्ल्यावर सुमारे दोन हजार मराठे होते तर वज्रगडावर अवघे तीनशे मावळे जीवाची बाजी लावून लढत होते. मोगलांनी तोफा डोंगरावर चढवून वज्रगडावर सतत भडिमार सुरू केला. मराठ्यांनी अत्यंत निकराने प्रतिकार केला. पण अखेरीस वज्रगडाचा एक बुरुज कोसळला. अवघ्या तीनशे मराठ्यांनी हजारो मोगलांना अनेक दिवस रोखून धरले. अखेरीस तीव्र संघर्षानंतर वज्रगड मोगलांच्या ताब्यात गेला. मोगलांनी तेथून पुरंदरच्या माचीवर आणि बुरुजांवर सतत तोफांचा मारा सुरू केला. सफेद बुरुज आणि काळा बुरुज तोफगोळ्यांनी हादरू लागले. मराठे मात्र रात्रंदिवस शर्थीने लढत राहिले. अखेरीस पुरंदरची माची मोगलांच्या ताब्यात गेली पण बालेकिल्ल्यावर अजूनही भगवा ध्वज अभिमानाने फडकत होता.

मिर्झाराजांनी मुत्सद्देगिरीने शिवाजी महाराजांची सर्व बाजूंनी कोंडी केली होती. स्वराज्यातील गावे जाळली जात होती, रसदबंदी केली जात होती आणि सतत हल्ले होत होते. शिवाजी महाराजांनी मिर्झाराजांकडे तहासाठी वकील पाठवले. सुरुवातीला जयसिंहांनी त्याकडे दुर्लक्ष केले मात्र शिवरायांनी विजापूरशी संपर्क साधून मोगलांविरुद्ध संयुक्त आघाडीची शक्यता निर्माण केली तेव्हा ते सावध झाले. दिलेरखानाने पुरंदरच्या बालेकिल्ल्यावर अंतिम हल्ल्यासाठी पाच हजार निवडक पठाण सैनिक पुढे पाठवले. परिस्थिती अत्यंत बिकट होती पण मुरारबाजी देशपांडेंनी हार मानली नाही. १६ मे १६६५ रोजी त्यांनी सुमारे सातशे निवडक मावळे सोबत घेतले आणि अचानक किल्ल्याबाहेर पडत मोगलांवर भीषण प्रतिहल्ला चढवला. मुरारबाजी दोन्ही हातांत तलवारी घेऊन अक्षरशः रणदेवतेप्रमाणे लढत होते. त्यांच्या प्रत्येक घावाने शत्रू सैनिक जमीनदोस्त होत होते.

मुरारबाजींचा अद्वितीय पराक्रम पाहून दिलेरखान स्वतः थक्क झाला. त्याने युद्ध थांबवत मुरारबाजींना उद्देशून म्हटले, "अरे बहाद्दूर, तुझ्यासारखा शूर योद्धा मी क्वचित पाहिला आहे. आमच्या बाजूला ये. तुला मोठी जहागीर आणि मानमरातब देऊ." परंतु स्वराज्याशी एकनिष्ठ असलेल्या मुरारबाजींना ही गोष्ट अत्यंत अपमानास्पद वाटली. ते संतप्त होऊन गर्जले, "मी शिवाजीराजांचा शिपाई ! तुझा कौल घेतो की काय ?" ही स्वराज्यनिष्ठेची सिंहगर्जना होती. हे बोलून मुरारबाजी थेट दिलेरखानाच्या दिशेने झेपावले. त्यांचा आवेश पाहून दिलेरखानाने धनुष्य उचलले आणि कानापर्यंत दोर खेचून बाण सोडला. तो बाण मुरारबाजींच्या कंठात घुसला आणि स्वराज्याचा हा सिंह रणांगणावर कोसळला. त्यांच्या सोबत सुमारे तीनशे मराठेही वीरमरण पावले.

मुरारबाजींच्या वीरमरणामुळे स्वराज्यावर दुःखाचा डोंगर कोसळला. छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांना त्यांच्या मृत्यूचे अतोनात दुःख झाले. अखेरीस मिर्झाराजे जयसिंह यांच्याशी वाटाघाटी होऊन पुरंदरचा तह झाला. हिंदवी स्वराज्याचे निष्ठावान शूरवीर मुरारबाजी देशपांडे यांना स्मृतिदिनी विनम्र अभिवादन 🙏🚩

My Analysis of West Bengal

1. West Bengal jumps from 82% to 92% in voter turnout out

2. Muslims generally vote in mass so this entire extra vote share come from Hindu Votes most probably who weren’t coming out earlier

3. Plus these are the people who were earlier stopped from voting coz of fear of law & order so most of them are anti Mamata voters

In 2021

1. Total 6 Cr people voted in West Bengal while the total electorate was 7.6 Cr

2. TMC got 2.9 Cr votes out of 6 Cr which is 48% & got 215 seats

3. BJP got 2.3 Cr votes out of 6 Cr which is 38% & got just 77 seats

4. Difference between BJP & TMC was 60 lacs votes & 10%

5. The total electorate was 7.6 Cr

Now

1. SIR has deleted 90 lacs illegal votes due to duplication, deaths & pure illegal

2. Total electorate this time is around becomes 7 Cr

3. Given that 80% of the effect of SIR goes to TMC, it should get 70 lacs less votes than last year means 2.2 Cr votes. This means TMC will be dropped to 35-37-% vote share

4. Given that 80% of incremental voting from 82 to 92 goes to BJP means BJP will get additional 20 lacs votes means BJP will come close to 2.5 Cr votes. This will be 42% vote share

5. Add 2% each from the other party vote share drop to both parties. Means TMC will stop at 39% & BJP will jump to 44%

6. Add 2% Anti Incumbency votes to BJP & reduce that 2% from TMC. Means TMC will settle for 37% & BJP will jump to 46%

Now with this maths

1. TMC will get 37% of 6.44 Cr (92% of total electorate) means 2.4 Cr votes

2. BJP will get 46% of 6.44 Cr means 2.96 Cr votes

BJP is touching 190 seats if the same trend goes for Phase 2 as well

Hindus should push their boundaries further & come out in larger numbers for phase 2 as well

One more point, knowing Mamata is losing big time, security forces should further step up their strength for phase 2 as goons will try to run reckless now

Nutshell, Mamata is packing up. Draconian TMC is packing up

Yes, they all learned the economy of a country can collapse if you make all the Indians leave. Just like it did in Uganda after Idi Amin's genocidal policies.

Hence the countries you mentioned all smartly increased visa quotas (around the same time) to invite not just the leaving Indians from Africa but more talented Indians from India in.

All these economies have done so well since then. No matter how much paid propaganda you do against Indians in the world, incentivized by two adversaries of India, all of it will fail.

When India embarked on the space journey, there were lot of naysayers and doubters.
Can India design and build space tech?
Well 19th April 1975 proved we could.

Aryabhata- India's first satellite, was launched on 19th Apr 1975 from a Soviet rocket launch using a Kosmos-3M launch vehicle.

It proved that Indian scientists, led by visionaries like Prof. U.R. Rao and Satish Dhawan, could manage a full-scale space program. It gave confidence to the then young org @isro

Btw, many of us would have used the Rs 2 note, which had the satellite on the back side.
