it’s becoming harder and harder for me to find my character muses and more—
@IncredibleBob_ —Helen’s order before giving the couple a polite smile and hurrying off. Helen turned and cocked a brow at her husband.
“Of course you would order a steak at an Italian restaurant.”
She chuckled. Strangely, it was very /him/ to do something like that.
“Why, of course!” She chirped, gesturing the couple to follow her as she lead them to a table.
“It’s real simple here. We’ll give you plenty of time to decide on what you like and we’ll come and get the order from you!”
She stood by a table, a corner booth rather, right next—
@IncredibleBob_ Helen couldn’t help but laugh at Bob’s outburst; all in good nature.
Her eyes scanned the menu again until she decided on a classic chicken pesto dish. She pointed it out to the waitress with a nod.
“I think I’ll go with this one. Thank you, again.”
She scribbled down—
@IncredibleBob_ —situation. . .” She pulled away slightly to open her menu and point at the price of one of the more expensive items of food.
“$30 just for a pizza? That’s crazy!”
@IncredibleBob_ Helen’s smile widened at Bob’s joke and she chuckled softly. Even when his jokes weren’t the greatest, he still managed to get her to laugh at them.
She leaned in closer to him to whisper, “I’m sure my stomach could stretch enough to fit it. Though I dunno about our money—
@IncredibleBob_ —share.
The waitress came back not too long later, a cheery smile on her face.
“Well, if it isn’t the newlyweds.” She joked, “Are you guys ready to order?”
@IncredibleBob_ Helen giggled softly at his wording as well before sighing again.
“I’m not sure. I think I’m hungry, which either means I’m only half or I’m so hungry that I’m not hungry anymore.”
She ended up settling on a creamy pesto dish, as well as a garlic bread for the two of them to—
@IncredibleBob_ Helen rested her head against his bicep, still too short to reach his shoulder, and gave a content sigh.
“Good.”
Her eyes flicked through the numerous options on the menu, though she felt a little overwhelmed by the amount of choices they had. Still, it was a good excuse to—
@IncredibleBob_ —and. . . um. . . I’ll be back to take your orders soon.”
“Thank you so much.” Helen said before the waitress left. She then turned to Bob and raised her eyebrows.
“Are we really /that/ sappy?”
@IncredibleBob_ Helen joined Bob in the booth, practically snuggling up next to him. She, too, had begun to flick through the menu when the waitress asked her question. Bob’s answer did make her blush, and she could feel her cheeks burn.
“Wow,” the waitress said, “Well, you guys are great,—

“Gosh, I hope you don’t mind me asking, but how long have you two been together? I noticed the rings on your fingers, but. . . I assumed you were still a relatively fresh couple with how ‘in-love’ you—
The waitress gave a short laugh and clasped her hands in front of her.
“Have you guys dined with us before?”
Helen looked up to her husband and shook her head.
“No. We’ve heard a lot about this place though, so we figured: why not come and try it?”
