You guessed right 😀
We are proud of all 28 girls who went through our year-long vocational training and mentoring school. So, whenever we get the chance to celebrate them, we do 👏🏿
Here's a sneak peek of how the event went! https://t.co/MAhPRe6yAZ
Stepping into 2026 with purpose, promise, and the power of every girl’s dream.
The faces that will shape policies and nations; we’re building, one girl at a time.
#GirlsLeadingAfrica#HappyNewYear2026
In June 2025, we opened our doors to 26 bright and determined young women, the fifth cohort of Girls Leading Africa’s 1-year vocational training and mentoring program.
At Girls Leading Africa, we know that when a girl’s voice is heard, when her skills are sharpened, and when her dreams are backed by opportunity, she becomes unstoppable. And when she rises, she carries her family, her community, and her nation with her.
In this most wonderful time of the year, as we celebrate with joy and love, let us stay committed to breaking the cycle of abuse and focus on protecting the most vulnerable among us.
Be the reason someone smiles today. #HappyHolidays
End-of-year celebrations at @GirlsLeading are always filled with laughter, dancing, and the vibrant beats of our local drums.
These happy moments remind us of the power of community, culture, and the joy that brings us together.
- Vocational training to equip young women with marketable skills,
- Financial literacy education to promote independence and
- Business coaching to empower young women to launch and sustain successful enterprises.
#GivingTuesday#girlsleadingafrica#StoriesofSuccess
It's still #GivingTuesday, and as we navigate uncertain times, we are reminded of the extraordinary resilience and determination of the young women who have passed through Girls Leading Africa.
This #GivingTuesday, we need your help to continue this life-changing work. With your support, we can reach our goal of $5,000 to expand our programs, and your gift of $25 can make a huge difference by helping to provide:
At Girls Leading Africa, we are deeply committed to ensuring that girls in rural communities, who are often burdened by rigid traditional and cultural practices, have access to the most basic and transformative tool: education.
Each piece our girls create is a testament to their resilience, creativity, and determination. As we lead, we must remember that leadership is a craft that requires dedication, passion, and the courage to keep learning and growing.
#GirlsLeadingAfrica#WorkforceDeve#September
We begin September with a reminder that leadership is about nurturing the skills and talents within us and, with patience and focus, to transform dreams into reality. At Girls Leading Africa we are not just learning a craft; we are shaping futures with every stitch.
If you educate a woman, you educate a nation.
Last month, we welcomed our fourth cohort of 34 amazing girls into our one-year vocational skills training and mentoring program and added Cosmetology as an add-on skill.
This represents a remarkable 61% increase in the number of girls enrolled for this cohort compared to the cohort who graduated in April!
We are incredibly grateful to the parents who attended our Parents' Day event to learn more about our program and how we can work together
