Paul Ssaaka Part I: The Man Who Changed Uganda's Music Industry.
Before the studios, before the streaming platforms, before the music battles and social media fame, there was a generation of pioneers who built Uganda's music industry with talent, discipline and sacrifice.
At the center of that story stands Paul Ssaaka.
A composer.
A teacher.
A mentor.
A performer.
A builder of generations.
His fingerprints can be found across schools, choirs, stages and recording studios that shaped Uganda's musical identity. Many of the artists, performers and musicians who later became household names passed through classrooms, rehearsals and musical environments that he influenced directly or indirectly.
Yet one question remains:
Has Uganda truly rewarded one of the architects of its modern music culture?
In Part One of this special Legacy Verdict conversation, Paul Ssaaka reflects on the songs, the schools, the sacrifices, the recognition, and the journey that transformed him from a music teacher into one of Uganda's most respected cultural figures.
We explore the students who became stars, the albums that shaped generations, the lessons that today's artists are forgetting, and the price of dedicating an entire lifetime to music.
This is not simply an interview.
This is the preservation of history.

This month in our clinic has been filled with patients suffering from this.
Hers started 6 days ago, gradually swelling and painful.
She says, "I can't even touch that part anymore, and it feels like that part is hot"
What do you think of this swelling?
💔 Remember: this could be you.

SA 🇿🇦 is facing a harsh economy. Blaming foreigners alone is a mistake. Corruption and poor leadership are major issues
