Wildings chefs visited HE today to demonstrate dishes to our practical cookery students. The chefs gave a masterclass in butchering chicken, then used it to create a chicken soup and a swiss chicken. Thanks for the support and dedicating your time to our young people #eatlocal

Tonight we hosted a family cookery session in the Home Economics department. We made a healthy chicken stir fry with lots of fresh vegetables. Great fun was had by all. Thanks to our senior pupils and Ms McNeill who provided support.

A big thank you to Marion from Carrick Cakes. She very kindly visited the Girvan Academy Home Economics department to demonstrate modelling to the N5 practical cake craft class. Our pupils enjoyed learning lots of new practical skills.
