Scroll founder's wallet with 1million+ marks. Scroll = ZKscam 2.0?
Teams are distributing drops to their wallets, a fact. I will provide evidence of @Scroll_ZKP wallets with 10-50-100k and even 1mln marks. Retweet it ->
@0xminion Airdrops are a great model for attracting the loyal community to a project. But this model has a few important rules:
1. You must get the user interested (even if they initially came just to farm airdrop) in your project. Usually airdrop campaigns last several months and here you must plan your community engagement strategy. @PacmanBlur and @ether_fi showed that you can make sure that everyone is happy after airdrop and that the project doesn't lose TVL or user base after listing. @intern has a really useful tweet about it https://t.co/3FDv3Uxj9m
2. Those who make airdrops don't quite realize that their main users are not whales, but mid and low banks, and when planning an airdrop you should put maximum emphasis on them. A whale comes to farm airdrop with a purpose, it's a job for him. Low and mid banks make up the very active native core community, which will shill your project for free and tell about it to all their web3 friends, make memes on Twitter, and participate in all your social activities. After all, around them, there is constant deception, small airdrops, and linear distribution in favor of whales. Make such a user happy after receiving an airdrop and with a 90% probability he will stay in your project further and will participate in future seasons, because around him projects that have never evaluated his merits are worthy, and you will be the first project that will do it.
3. Give people the opportunity to use your token in a way that benefits you after airdrop. For example - give increased rewards to those who lock them to participate in season 2 (like @ethena did) or some other unique mechanism (maybe some Profit-sharing or Progressive ownership) that is exclusive to your project. Allow users to understand that the first airdrop is just a show of loyalty and gratitude to your community, and further they will have new opportunities to earn money with your project if they are your token holders.
I can talk a lot about how and why airdrops are needed and how cool they can work. But the problem with many projects is that they make airdrops themselves just to add as many of their wallets there as possible and sell their own tokens on TGE. The current problem with airdrops is not a problem of a mercantile community, it is a problem of projects that treat them too carelessly.
