Those who don’t know, Thika Super Highway was supposed to be elevated like this all through.

Eliminating the hills, valleys and roundabouts was supposed to reduced driving time from 1 hour to 25 mins.

Today those who frequently use the road will tell you it takes more time because those valleys were maintained in sections, they embezzled money for foot-bridges/pedestrian tunnels and so we have bumps on a highway.

So I insist, Kibaki is an overrated thief. All articles praising him should be challenged. He taught the current crop of @KeNHAKenya @KURAroads & @KeRRA_Ke engineers the art of budgeted-corruption.
