I don’t share everything we do for our guests behind the scenes, because the internet gets a bit too parasocial and weird- but I want to share a new thing that I’m excited about.

I’ve worked with my personal therapist to help me overcome some of my issues (agoraphobia) over this past year, and it’s REALLY worked- took my first commercial flight to a back from somewhere in a decade… and it’s all because I had a REAL therapist who doesn’t enable me and instead truly gives me the tough love that I needed- unlike many therapists out there, sadly.

I told him how great he’s been for me and we discussed what it would be like for our guests to get extra support. We came to an agreement where I am going to personally be paying for EVERY guest going forward to have FREE therapy with “Dr. D.”

In the show we get to have some springer fun, tough love with the finances, and now post care from a best of the best mental health professional to finally help get their SH*T together.

The average FA guest pays off over $20,000 of debt in 12 months… I can’t wait to see that improve even more now!

Today would have been Kobe's birthday. This sad occasion had me thinking about my dear friend.

While we spent years competing against each other, it was the summers of '07 and '08 that saw us wear the same Team USA jersey. The camaraderie we built during those FIBA/Olympic summers, man, was it something special.

We spent hours together in the gym, on buses, planes. We often were in the same groups for workouts and, even more often, sat near or next to each other when we were on the go.

We talked a lot. About family. About religion. About basketball. About life. I'm not going to go into those conversations in depth now, but I have one specific memory to share.

A memory of playing dominoes with Kobe. Actually, a memory of helping to teach him how to play. Over that summer, Kobe would proceed to play on flights with me, Tayshaun Prince, and Chris Bosh.

With the benefit of hindsight, I know it wasn't actually about the dominoes for him. Kobe didn't care about the game. He was, I think, trying to ingratiate himself with us, with his teammates.He was trying to make sure we had the chemistry in place to come home with the Gold medal...which we did.

He was masterful at using his mind like that. He played chess, mentally, while most of the world was playing checkers.

We miss you, brother, today and always.

I'm going to say the quiet part out loud, @GovSherrillNJ, and with my full chest, just like I did when I voted AGAINST this bill on the Assembly floor.

There is something deeply disturbing about a room full of female legislators - many of them mothers - grinning ear to ear while a bill is signed that shields providers and institutions from accountability for the potential, irreparable harm that may come to a child who makes a life-altering decision that may permanently affect their fertility as an adult.

This is so unbelievably wrong on so many levels. We have lost our humanity.

Lou Gehrig discussed Babe Ruth's called shot on an NBC radio broadcast on October 6, 1932, only five days after the World Series game at Wrigley.

The recording then went unheard for roughly 88 years before author Dan Joseph surfaced it in 2020.

It is the only known audio of Gehrig discussing the called shot.

That combination of timing and rediscovery makes the recording unusually valuable evidence in one of baseball's oldest debates.
