Blame Blizzard’s empty promises. Overwatch had its issues by 2019, but the sequel isn’t the original plan.

And the abysmal post-launch of OW2 made the game seem like a laughingstock to most. It’s not dead, but it's a far cry from their GOTY cultural phenomenon days.
