I played for Amaglug-glug (U23), helping them qualify for the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

I was one of the top scorers at the 1999 All Africa Games.

When the Olympic squad was announced for friendlies, Shakes Mashaba left me out.

I panicked and questioned my future. I called him to ask if I was in his plans.

That call caused me to never ever play for the U23; he was upset that I challenged his decision.

What was I supposed to do! How could I know without asking?
