During Vijayadashami program at a Buddhist Vihara in Sultanpur, a speaker called 'Harami' to a bhagwa wearing person. BJP MLA @RajeshMLABJP, present on the stage and hailing from the Dalit community, could not tolerate the insult to the saffron-clad devotees. He stood up, protested, and took the microphone.

He stated that although he was born into a Dalit family, he is proud to be a Hindu. He mentioned that he visits Hanuman Ji every Tuesday and has never been stopped. He further said that attempts are being made to mislead Dalit and backward communities into religious conversion, which is dividing society.

My Take
Leaders like Rajesh Gautam working to bring harmony among Hindus should be promoted at the national level and given higher responsibilities.
