Being elite with the ball doesn't make you a weak defender. Cubarsí is actually an extremely aggressive defender, he steps up, reads situations early, has very good pace for a centre-back, and is more than capable of going physically toe-to-toe with the strongest attackers in the world.

I'm really happy he's showing this side of his game on the biggest stage, because it's time people stop reducing him to just his passing ability.
