I’ve watched this video several times, and what disturbs me most isn’t the moment the gate closes. It’s everything that happened before it. For five days, these animals returned to the same place, ate the same food, and walked away unharmed. Each visit made the next one easier. Nothing about the environment appeared to change, yet something important was happening. Their behavior was becoming predictable. What looked like an ordinary feeding routine was gradually becoming the foundation of a trap they had no reason to anticipate.
What makes the situation particularly unsettling is the patience of the person behind it. He didn’t need to chase the animals or force them into the enclosure. He simply created the conditions under which they would enter willingly. The food was real, the rewards were immediate, and the consequences remained hidden. While the animals were responding to what was directly in front of them, someone else was thinking several steps ahead. The difference wasn’t physical strength or intelligence alone. It was the advantage of understanding the entire arrangement while the other side understood only its immediate benefits.
And this is where the video becomes a disturbing reflection of human behavior. Not every dangerous arrangement announces itself through cruelty or deception. Some begin with opportunity, generosity, and an extraordinary degree of convenience. People become attached to what consistently rewards them, often without examining the conditions that make those rewards possible. They confuse being accommodated with being valued, being needed with being indispensable, and having access with having control. The danger isn’t necessarily that someone is lying to them. It’s that they may be making permanent decisions based on circumstances someone else can change overnight.
But there’s an even more uncomfortable realization here. The animals didn’t lose their freedom because they wanted food. They lost it because the environment was designed to turn an ordinary need into an opportunity for capture. And that distinction matters. Having needs doesn’t make someone foolish, and accepting help doesn’t make someone weak. The real danger begins when another person understands your dependencies better than you understand their intentions. At that point, they may not need to control your decisions directly. They only need to control the circumstances under which those decisions are made.
What stays with me is what happened after the gate closed. The food remained exactly where it had always been, but the animals’ attention shifted toward the boundaries of the enclosure. I can’t know what they understood, yet the contrast is striking. Nothing about the reward had changed. What changed was their ability to leave. And perhaps that’s something people rarely consider while life is going well. We spend so much time evaluating what an arrangement gives us that we forget to ask what it would cost to walk away from it. Sometimes the true price of a benefit becomes visible only when you try to refuse it.
The lesson I take from this isn’t that generosity should be feared or that trust should be abandoned. It’s that independence requires more than favorable circumstances. It requires understanding who holds the power to change them. Five days were enough to establish a routine, but one moment exposed the limits of that routine. The food was still there. The benefits hadn’t disappeared. Only the freedom to leave had been taken away. And perhaps the most important question isn’t whether you’re comfortable with what someone offers you, but whether your life would still belong to you if they stopped offering it.

This wasn't particularly easy to do. All of the efforts go to waste if it doesn't reach the Arewa community.

Marriage 101!!!
Please send this to every young man and woman you know wants to get married.
Marriage is not simply about finding someone you love alone. It is also about finding someone with whom you can build a life, carry responsibilities, solve problems and grow together.
You will cook more if you are the better cook…
You will drive more if you are the better driver…
You will spend more time caring for the children if you are more available or better at it…
You will do more of the heavy work if you are physically stronger…
You will run more errands if your schedule allows it…
You will carry more of the financial burden when circumstances demand it…
Marriage is not always about doing 50/50 every single day. Marriage is about giving your 100% at all times!!! Sometimes your 100% would hold a l 5% value, other times, your 100% is truly 100%. At some point, one person gives 70% while the other gives 30%. At another time, the roles may be completely reversed. What matters is that both people are genuinely committed to the success of the marriage and are willing to carry each other when one is weak.
A healthy marriage requires love, humility, consideration, patience, forgiveness, communication, responsibility and sacrifice. That is why you must learn to put the good and progress of the family ahead of your pride and selfish desires.
This does not mean accepting disrespect, abuse, manipulation or being the only person making sacrifices. Marriage is not supposed to destroy one person while the other takes advantage. Sacrifice must be evidently mutual, even when the responsibilities are not always equal.
That is why choosing a life partner is a serious decision!!!
Before you say “I want to get married” ask yourself these questions
Can I communicate when I am angry?!
Can I apologise when I am wrong?!
Can I remain faithful when things become difficult?!
Can I support my partner when they are struggling?!
Can I manage money responsibly?!
Can I handle disagreements without destroying the relationship?!
Can I serve without keeping score?!
Can I make life easier for this person because it is just the right thing to do?!
Can I accept that marriage will require me to do things out of the traditional scope of being a man or a woman?!
And just as importantly, will the person I want to do this for has the capacity to do the same thing for me?!?!
If your answer is not a resounding Yes, you should rethink your decisions!!!
Do not marry someone simply because you are lonely, getting older, under pressure or afraid of being alone!!!
Many men and women are suffering very bitterly today because they had unhealthy priorities so they married for money, beauty, age was no long on their side or because they wanted to bear children. Many of them are now more lonely in marriage than they were while being single. That happened because they ignored the redflags!!!!
It is very important that you choose carefully!!!
Character matters, values matter, emotional maturity matters, faithfulness matters, how someone treats people when they have nothing to gain from them matters.
Marriage can be beautiful, but it is not easy. It requires two imperfect people who are willing to learn, forgive, sacrifice, communicate and keep choosing each other.
You are choosing who you will build a home, a family and a future with.
Choose wisely!!!!
I'm working on translating this to different languages. It takes effort to make these so, it needs to get to the right audience (WhatsApp and Facebook).

POV: You created a ad commercial for a Lagos Life using AI
The whole idea was to create an interactive video that is simple, fast and shows users what goes on in Lagos Life simulation game.
What do you guys think🌝?
#lagoslife
1. Your friend isn't okay and wants to video call you to vent, but you don’t have data.
2. Your friend asks you to come to her house, but you can’t afford the transport fare.
3. Your friend loses someone and you’re expected to go to the village to support her, but you don’t have money for the trip.
4. Your friend comes to your place and you don't even have money for fast food or a couple of drinks to make her feel comfortable.
5. Your friend asks you to go out, even if it’s just for an ice cream date, and you can’t afford it.
6. You borrow money from your friend and now you don't even know how to act around them because you genuinely don't have the money to pay them back.
7. It's your friend's birthday, you don't have money for a present, and you don't even have enough to take them out.
That's why I say, no matter how genuine you are, if you're a broke friend, you will never be able to be a good friend in the way you want to be. You'll feel bad because you're a good friend but you simply don't have the money, and eventually you might even distance yourself.
And no, we're not talking about those friendships where everything has to be content. We're talking about the reality that friendship can be hard when you're constantly struggling financially. Choosing not to have friends because you know you can't afford to show up the way you want to doesn't mean there's something wrong with you.
