We're organizing #WCAsia2026, everyone is a volunteer. Why are we doing this? At some point, we attended our first #WordCamp and found great value, so now it's our turn to pick up the baton. But those who need this conference most may never come.

@thexplorerbug@NiloVelez told me then that it would be better if it was a bit longer, but if it was 40 minutes, it would be just awful 😆 Maybe we can suggest trying TAD like talks, 18 minutes long, at the next WC Asia 🙂
My talk at #WCAsia 2025. I had a full room and I'm still so excited and grateful for everyone who came 🔥 The redording lasts just 8:19 minutes, but there are more slides after the unicorn🦄, so check the QR code for more.

#QA at #WCEU
https://t.co/0zImetUQh6
Check your vocabulary; if “I thought that…” is your usual phrase, take the time to pinpoint the gaps in your knowledge. A #WordPress#QA needs to know about content types, blocks, WP cron, the REST API, and more. Otherwise, there is no quality in QA. Take the time to learn 🚀
Working mostly on landing pages, QA professionals can fall into the trap of becoming a cog in a machine⚙️ But contribution to open-source can help #QA stay relevant and grow, and #WordPress is such a project 🎉
Don't wait #ContributorDay, join the Make WordPress Test team now 🙂
There is definitely something to learn from people who can win our hearts by reporting bugs 🔥 I wonder if effective QA is worth a panel discussion or a talk 🎤 Sometimes QA is undervalued or understood very narrowly as an output control. There could be a lot more to it than that
Some measure QA productivity by the number of bugs created 🐞 and tickets reopened 👻 You can imagine how this affects the workflow 🧬 But how can you measure QA efficiency? 🤔 Which solution is implemented in your company❓Eager to know
Pet projects are better than dummy projects from courses, but contributing to open-source gives you perspective that no pet project can provide.
I am not saying that it is enough, big commercial projects keep you relative to the market, but these experiences complement each other
🥕Free plugins are a contribution to the ecosystem. But some people leverage plugins' reviews to demand help with projects, which damages the author's spirit and will to contribute this way. Don't do this 🙏 Be fair and do something nice instead🙂
