@kelvmackenzie PS the away team pick the charity it goes to too, for the Spurs game a total of £1,084 was collected, it was then donated to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation at Spurs request.

@kelvmackenzie Maybe read the T’s & C’s before going rather than whinging about it after? This has been in place for years now, it was due to numerous away fans throwing these sort of items down onto the home fans, which resulted in a few fans being hospitalised as a result.

For me the right hand isn’t in a natural position, the bigger issue is consistency, we all know something similar will be given next week.

Can see the shadow of the ball above his thigh / knee the whole time, no change in ball spin, no reaction from the leg either. Don’t think it touches his leg at all and just goes left hand onto right

@greenclarinet @AndyNufc48 @BradfordGavin @SkySports_Keith Seen these given in the Prem too, some weeks they are some weeks they aren’t, biggest issue is consistency for me, it either is given or it isn’t and that’s done every time, no excuses these days given VAR check most things in a game.

@AndyNufc48 @BradfordGavin @SkySports_Keith We can disagree all day, it’s a separate point, and one which isn’t including an arm/hand in an unnatural position.

That’s why Keith Hackett the former Premier League referee believes it should have been awarded, if it hit the knee then a hand by his side, no pen.

@AndyNufc48 @BradfordGavin @SkySports_Keith It’s covered in Laws of the Game (Law 12 – Handling the Ball) set by the IFAB which the FA and Prem follow.

The only reasonable justification can be the officials believe the arm is in a natural position (which it isn’t), or they took the distance into account (possible).

@BradfordGavin @AndyNufc48 @SkySports_Keith It’s actually not the law, the rule states a penalty should not be given if it comes off the players body prior to hitting the arm if the arm is in a natural position, if in an unnatural position a penalty can still be awarded.
