Its been a good run.
Glimboi was a great chatbot.
It improved a large amount of streams.
But now, its time for it to end. The bot will allow custom URLS for future Glimesh instances, but will not be ported to any other platform. Read the quoted tweet for more info.

Feel free to export your data from the integrations page. If you plan on using a custom server, do this before you switch!

Known Bugs - Refreshing a token is currently broken. This is a Glimesh issue and I can't do anything about it until they fix it.

This is also affecting all other third party programs as well as the official app. Hopefully they get that fixed soon

v2.7.2 has released.

This updated adds the Glimboard. It is a streamdeck-like app for the bot. It is rather basic but it may be helpful for automating some actions.

Currently, the program can run commands, send messages, and activate your media elements. If this gets a lot of use more options can be added.

This release also adds OBS websocket v5.0. Glimboi relies on the manual install of 4.9.x.

However, the OBS websocket repo has provided a stable 4.x.x compat version to work in OBS 28 and above.

If any issues arise you can use the compat version of OBS websocket 4.9.x.

If you already have the plugin installed its possible that no further action will be required.

OBS 28 seems to be a ways away but its good to be prepared.

This will likely be part of the bot and not a standalone install. Glimboi already runs an internal server for your media so it can serve the app from that.

I am currently working on the Glimboi Companion webapp. This will be a streamdeck-like interface for the bot accessible from your phone/tablet/browser.

You can create a board with buttons. Each button can automate a set of instructions. You can run commands, media, messages, etc

v2.6.0 has released.

This release adds several command triggers. You can now run a command when someone subscribes, gifts a sub, or donates. I also added a notification command action as well as other changes.

Did a little dev work on stream today.

Users can now customize chat message backgrounds based off of the users rank. You can also modify the bot join message (or disable it entirely).

This will likely release when the music player changes are finished.

Another option would be to remove the Streamer, Mod, and user ranks from the bot. That data would be pulled from Glimesh instead of stored locally.

Custom ranks will not be changed for any of these options.

One of the upcoming API changes will allows the bot to detect who is a mod/streamer/sub/platform_sub via chat.

Glimboi has its own rank system. Currently the streamer has to enter this data manually.

Should the bot fetch the data and update the bot ranks or leave them separate?

We could have this as a toggle. A one time fetch can be performed for mods but the rest will have to updated as the bot listens to chat.

Alternatively we leave the rank system alone and continue to make the streamer enter the data themselves.
