There are few feelings as uniquely "artist"-type as when you spend 2+ hours staring at a single face drawn in a blank void, feeling like a hack

and in like 10 minutes out of nowhere you sketch out the rest of the body in one go

then realizing, "oh shit, I'm cooking, actually??"
