You can sum up a recent recommendation for healing the ailing news industry in the words of a recent Google ad campaign: Make Google do it. But while news-industry lobbyists want 💰, the indie publishers I talked to had non-monetary requests. https://t.co/aRdyIZsaR9
"Incident response is a team effort, but more specifically, it's like being part of an orchestra because everybody has their own part to play."

Have you heard? @glitch has it's own industry podcast, #ShiftShiftForward! You can find it and all of our media at @Glimmer!

"I envision code being seen as a normal everyday tool, like a pen and paper, hammer and nail... folks who find the apps they use are not serving their needs or harming them or others... they'll use code to make their own tech in response." - @jennschiffer

I talked to @glitch about how the #COVID crisis is shaping the way we look at work, communication, and expressing empathy (and Aaron Fernandez made an awesome illustration to go with it!) https://t.co/fn83lImafK
I haven’t really written in forever, but I wrote about Animal Crossing. It’s kind of personal and thus embarrassing but I’m proud of it! 🍃🍃

.@carolinesinders’ top focus: "For my Better Tech @glitch column, I wrote about Zoom, harassment, & wondering what communities need right now w/ everyone online: how are tools lacking? This led to a project funded by @OmidyarNetwork." Read: https://t.co/7ryn9Hl93G #DItalksCOVID19
Like @carolinesinders x @glitch new column; on @caseorganic, #cobol & Calm Technology.

I wrote a piece on how we are using video-conferencing tools in a variety of new ways, from karaoke, to brunches, etc, and creating new kinds of social interaction. But these business focused tools weren't designed for those kinds of social experiences.
