@CoinradVanOrton@elonmusk When I worked on tech support I noticed most people that got hacked as individual got hacked using Wi-Fi in hotels and airports.
CRYPTO SECURITY ALERT
(developing, unconfirmed)
Do not trust calls and Texts!!! People will be calling pretending to be from your bank!!!!!
•Binance reports a "security incident"; withdrawals paused on multiple networks • Reports of $2B–$5.8B drained from hot wallets (figures vary, not verified) • Tether, Circle & Ripple froze $2B+ in stablecoins • Aave froze its V3 Ethereum markets • Kamino paused one borrowing market (says it's unaffected) • Polymarket: separate incident, ~$2M stolen via third-party software ⚠️ Only trust official channels you contact #Binance #Crypto #Security
@SnarkFox@elonmusk I unlinked my bank accounts and credit score trackers between them anyways, At least if one bank gets hacked they can't pull money from another account. I'm not saying it will make a difference, like I said I can be wrong, but better safer-ish than very sorry.
We are working non-stop to resolve this issue. Binance will cover all losses.
As a precaution, all deposits and withdrawals are temporarily suspended while our team conducts security checks, freezes funds, and works with law enforcement.
We are working around the clock and will share a full post-mortem once the investigation is complete. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates.
This is an industry-wide effort, and we are grateful to partners across the ecosystem who have moved quickly to help freeze affected assets.
We will continue to share verified updates through official Binance channels. User funds are safe.
@Alupang@elonmusk Exactly. We all have hackers following us on social media too...
I have my Agent periodically look at my followers, where they are from etc. It's no longer safe to make "online friends" since internet inclusion happened (eh) it stinks.
Eh I don’t ignore the fact that I could be wrong, but minimizing the risk of a data breach affect affecting you in a harsher way is never a bad idea, the average person has pictures of their Social Security number on their emails, they have multiple stores that don’t need to have their credit card there and iCloud just has your entire life in there screenshots and eye candy
