I just wanted to install Unity on Arch Linux.
Somehow that turned into a corrupted /boot, a failed system update, and me learning what a UKI actually is.
The weird part was that I had ~92 GB free on my system, but my /boot was a separate 200 MB partition and was completely full. Then I found out the filesystem was corrupted and my kernel itself was damaged.
So instead of touching random files, I started tracing the boot process. That rabbit hole took me through systemd-boot → UKI → initramfs → mkinitcpio.
Turns out my UKI was ~147 MB, with ~118 MB coming from the early CPIO. After changing my mkinitcpio config, the new UKI dropped to ~30 MB.
Repaired the filesystem, restored the kernel, rebuilt everything, rebooted… and Arch came back.
Unity is gone for now, but I accidentally learned more about how my own machine boots in one afternoon than I had before.
Still a beginner. But now I know a little more about what’s happening under the hood.
Slightly late, but officially locked in for @EFDevcon 🔒
Excited to volunteer, meet the people building the ecosystem, and experience Devcon from the inside.
See you in November.

Yep, this happened :)
I’ll be volunteering at Devcon 8 India this November 🇮🇳
Very excited to contribute, meet people building cool things around Ethereum, and learn a lot along the way.
See you in Mumbai @EFDevcon 🫡

I'm starting to learn investing.
I'm not looking for stock or crypto picks.
I'm looking for the frameworks and mental models that helped you become a better investor.
If you were starting from scratch today, where would you begin?
@0xkasana@veritasium AI might make explanations abundant, but memorable explanations are usually built around a story. Veritasium's Markov Chains video is what pulled me into the channel, and the storytelling is what kept me there.
@udayempire_@airtelindia Yeah damn good deal 🤝
Claimed it few days ago
At least I'm getting something useful instead of hotstar and stuff for paying such high charges
@shriyash_soni@IBWofficial@web3privacy Applied to volunteer at Devcon and will be submitting my application for ETHMumbai soon. Looking forward to learning, contributing, and connecting with the Web3 community.
Protect your delusion. If you want to be an outlier, you need to be delusional, cut out noise, not let people tell you what to do, not ask 100 people before taking a decision, and most certainly not compare yourself with anybody.
