When discussing the future of America’s production economy, @RobWittman noted the role AI will play in improving efficiency and supporting the next generation of innovators, saying, “AI will play a role. AI will make human beings much more efficient.”
Echoing a shared call for permitting reform, @SenToddYoung echoed the call for permitting reform, noting it would strengthen manufacturers and bolster America’s economic and national security: “Permitting reform—if we did that, I think there’d be enduring certainty for investors and companies alike…”
.@RepHageman underscored the importance of permitting reform to strengthen America’s mining industry, support domestic production, and keep the U.S. competitive. “Our future begins with permitting reform. Our long-term prosperity begins with permitting reform,” she said.
U.S. Department of @ENERGY’s Madeleine Bugel noted that policy tools must be targeted to meet the needs of a complex, evolving critical minerals market.
“There's not going to be a perfect fit for every single person in the critical mineral space. Everybody is in different stages. Different targets need different sorts of tools. That's what we're really working on coordinating to ensure government efficiency,” she said
.@RepJeffHurd emphasized the need for a bipartisan approach to streamlining the permitting process, saying it “requires Republicans, Democrats coming together, because when you have wildly shifting policies... it's not good. It does not provide that stability and predictability that allows for that capital investment that we need.”
🪨🛠️🔋"America cannot build again unless we are drilling and mining again... Everything begins with permitting reform and our future begins with permitting reform. Our long-term prosperity begins with permitting reform." An important highlight from @RepHageman's keynote address today at our Critical Minerals Summit.
PS: She also expressed support for @RepWesterman's #SPEEDAct — crucial legislation that would help streamline our permitting process. @NatResources
Launching into a critical mineral discussion @USChamber@globalenergy forum w/Sen Todd Young on collaborative efforts to fill important gaps in critical mineral strategy. Young focused on attacking the challenges of the critical mineral supply chain.
🇺🇸NOW: @RepJeffHurd made it clear: outdated permitting is holding America back. Modernizing it means stronger national security, more resilient supply chains, and real economic growth — but only if we do it together, across the aisle.
Stay tuned for more updates from the @USChamber’s Critical Minerals Summit! 🔋🪨
