@PowderMagazine Fantastic article! However, we’ve found 28 skiable resorts in Pennsylvania (Eagle Rock isn’t opening due to pump issues), not 26. @StormSkiJournal lists 27 but doesn’t include Wissahickon Ski Club Hill for 2024/2025

Almost there! Finalizing Snow Totals by resort after downloading all #OSM 'winter_sports' locations and NOAA weather data stations. 5 hours of Python Pandas magic to find the nearest stations, plus many matplotlib/pyplot iterations, and we have a snow total map!

10 of 6131: not satisfied with the way the trees 🌲 took too much attention so modified the #qgis for and made Timberline Mountain

Heavily modified the #qgis symbology so it uses 'Map Unit' instead of other units to label assets. The results are a lot better on large resorts such as 9 of 6131: ~254 acre... Showshoe Mountain @snowshoemtn
