@RobertJMAyers @JaneDouthwaite @gsqia @rjwrm As you say there are 100’s of ways to do it, but a number of them are the same! Take the best out of them and make a easy to use, easy to train and useable way of doing QI and everybody will join in @QualityFirstPAH #QIHour

@rjwrm @gsqia Theres 100s of methodologies & theories & you can never follow one method & say you will always bring about a change or improvement successfully. Nearly all are iterations of others. I think it’s about understanding the fundamentals & applying them building shared purpose #QIHour

@gsqia Have we got this right even if we do this in Trusts, is there such a thing? I am a firm believer that all change and QI methodology is wrong, but some are useful. Says the PhD student writing a doctorate on QI methodology #QIHour

@lgoodbu @gsqia A fundamental part and typically we do this so badly. It’s only co production and codesign if service users/carers actually think it is. Largely we do not even ask them this question #QIHour

@gsqia I think the way we use term is limiting as its typically seen as for an elite few who have been trained in formal methodologies (& perhaps don’t ultilise) as opposed to building capacity &capability (there’s a difference) within teams so that QIs an intrinsic role for all #QIHour

@gsqia There’s no doubt that commitment to quality improvement is linked to higher quality care. This underlines the leadership role of boards in this area and the need to build collective agency for change and improvement with entire teams and not only “formal” leaders #QIHour

@gsqia Changes that are an “improvement” based on “data” that comes in endless forms whether that’s audit, research, feedback, incidents, Innovation etc #QIHour
