@mehdirhasan Please do a deep dive on who's REALLY behind it, who owns the migration centres, who ultimately benefits from chaos and mayhem??? Ultimately I believe it will be the same group EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!
SOMEBODY BET ON 9/11. NOBODY WAS EVER CHARGED.
ABC News, September 20, 2001. A segment called "The Money Trail."
Nine days after the towers fell, the network was already reporting on trades that didn't make sense.
United Airlines. The Thursday before the attack, more than 2,000 put contracts were bought, bets that the stock would drop. That was 90 times the volume of the previous three weeks combined.
American Airlines. On Monday, September 10, someone placed a $337,000 bet on the same thing. One day before American Flight 11 hit the North Tower.
Then there were the bets against Morgan Stanley and Marsh & McLennan, two of the World Trade Center's largest tenants.
When markets reopened, the airlines crashed and the contracts paid out. Bloomberg's Dylan Ratigan laid out the math on air:
"$180,000 turns into $2.4 million when that plane hits the World Trade Center."
Asked by ABC's Antonio Mora whether it could be a coincidence, Ratigan didn't hesitate:
"This would be one of the most extraordinary coincidences in the history of mankind if it was a coincidence."
ABC's consultant Jonathan Winer went further: "It is absolutely unprecedented to see cases of insider trading covering the entire world, from Japan to the United States and North America to Europe."
The SEC and FBI investigated. The official conclusion years later: no conclusive evidence linking the trades to advance knowledge. One piece was explained, a California newsletter recommended airline puts on September 9.
That never accounted for the timing, the volume, or the specific choice of targets.
Whoever placed those trades bet on the exact companies hit, in the exact window before the attacks. And walked away with the money. 🧭
