From comedy… to Nepa Boys…to creating his own skits…to taking on cinema roles…and now producing his own movie.

He didn’t wait for somebody to hand him the opportunity to tell his story.

He created the opportunity.

Maybe that’s why Starlomo feels so personal.

Because we’ve all had a Starlomo season.

That season where you’re trying to become somebody…while still trying to convince people that you can.

Unknown.

Unseen.

Underrated.

But still showing up.

sometimes the hardest part of having a dream isn’t starting.

It’s continuing when nothing is working.

When the money isn’t coming.

When the opportunities aren’t coming.

When everybody seems to be moving ahead of you.

And you’re asking yourself:

“Am I wasting my time?”

But let’s also be REAL.

PASSION ALONE WILL NOT PAY YOUR BILLS.

Sometimes you need another source of income while building your dream.

Get the job. Freelance. Save. Then keep chasing your thing.

There is no shame in funding the dream while you build it so you don’t suffer

DON’T LET YOUR BOYFRIEND STOP YOU FROM MEETING YOUR HUSBAND. 😭

In Starlomo’s case: DON’T LET YOUR FAMILY STOP YOU FROM MEETING YOUR GREATNESS.

Sometimes the people closest to you are the least able to understand the size of your dream.

Their fear shouldn’t limit you

But then I realised that’s actually the point.

When you really want something, you have to be willing to ask, pitch yourself, send the DM, make the call and try again after rejection.

Carry your matter on your head because nobody is going to fight for your dream like you will

Sometimes, when you’re chasing a dream, you have to be shameless.

And Starlomo? This man was shameless! 😂

He pitched himself even when Kiekie turned him down, he kept trying to get her to listen to him.

At some point, I was like, “Omo, this is another level of shame”😭

Because Starlomo is that person who refuses to stop trying.

You hear “NO” and somehow come back with another plan. 😭
You get embarrassed and ignored still show up.
You see an opportunity and think, “Let me just try.”

That’s Starlomo.

And honestly? That’s a lot of us.
