@BUNNYEXPLODER The Alzeus is a test bed prototype for the Penelope thats why it looks like a mess - they bolted weapons on a platform meant to train people.
@HMBohemond@MinamotoKyo The Eight is pretty recent (and sick) but ya know the percent of kaiju battles in it is looking like not much....
I'd imagine if you came in strictly for Kaijus then you'd probably have dropped it by now.
@HMBohemond I already have controversial takes on mobile suit designs but this one feels way too much like those Chinese mecha designs targeted explicitly for MG modelers who enjoy twelve billion panel lines.
@EveningSky6@exceedorbit The Ace Combat devs would not want to work on a Gundam game. They didn't even want to work on STAR FOX game back in the Gamecube era so there is zero chance lol.
@MidnightZaku@CommissarBear RFV released two years ago which personally doesn't make it a solid MS design to point at when talking about the history of Gundam. Personally both Solaris Zakus and EX Gundam - unlike how the GQX designs are redeemed by the animation - look worse in motion.
@RedLineRemnant@CommissarBear The Penelope at least attempts the color scheme of a standard Gundam by this UC timeline.
Also don't forget the MS underneath the flight unit...
@battleupsaber As someone who didnt like the GqX designs at first and doesnt like these new designs for Rogue today - actually this is closer to the Requiem for Vengance discussion from two years ago where people STILL mostly do not like the Requiem stuff.
@dddestroy9ball The ZZ pose makes a ton of sense and I bet they just got a reference packet for iconic gundam stuff and picked it.
I think the Strike Activation Pose might have also fit the bill here.
@marvelThyme@SkyheartV@SawyerMerritt They definitely wanted that thing to blow up because they weren't gonna retrieve it to begin with. It's way too big
@Turbofurby@BrookAshley999 That's not correct by any means - only Sydney and the surronding area of Austarlia got destroyed - there are still EFF operating in the area around Australia. After Odessa, the EFF had an operation to fully evict them out of Adelaide and Melbourne.
