PHILLY MAN DUBBED “GRIM REAPER” WHO KILLED 4, ESCAPED PRISON, SENTENCED TO 55 YEARS IN PRISON

Ameen Hurst, who pled guilty to killing 4 people, attempting to kill 2 others, 2 armed robberies, escaping prison, and numerous related firearm offenses was sentenced to 55 to 110 years in prison today by Judge Scott O’Keefe. He will be eligible for parole.

In May 2023, Hurst was being held on some of the above murder charges when he and another inmate escaped from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center. He was arrested 10 days later.

Hurst was nicknamed the “Grim Reaper” for his murderous behaviors. He was also a member of the infamous murder gang “Young Bag Chasers” (YBC) who is now largely defunct due to being mostly dead or locked up.
