Empowering communities to take charge of their futures! 🌍

Hon. Minister @DrMusadikMalik and #UNDPinPakistan Resident Representative @SamuelRizk inaugurated the Community-Based Disaster Risk Management Center (CBDRMC) in Barah.

📍With 15 CBDRMCs already established in Gilgit-Baltistan through UNDP’s @Glof2Pakistan project, the community is now better equipped to lead #ClimateAction and reduce disaster risks through improved coordination & collaboration.

👉🏼 Over the next 3 days, 18 participants from Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 🇵🇰 will be transforming their pitches into projects through an intensive bootcamp, aiming to incubate #ClimateEntrepreneurship focused on #ClimateAdaptation and #Sustainability.

Preceding the #GlacialHack Hackathon, @glof2pakistan with @cirrusismpk are rolling out awareness sessions at universities in GB and KP. The sessions aim to incubate ideas to derive #ClimateAdaptation mechanisms based on local knowledge.
