I never studied that stuff, probably it would improve my work but my adhd is disinterested. Find a thing you’re interested in and like drawing and draw that. You’ll keep trying and learning automatically if you want to do it. If you copy someone as practice, just credit them. IMHO probably better to copy photos than artworks, if you want to learn anatomy. 3D Models can help with angles, but also observing meat squish around will teach you a lot. *lecturing myself rn* All I did as a kid was copy pictures I liked, it taught me a lot.
@alecrobbins I am an adherent to the philosophy that all the best artists are perverts in some way, if not openly then privately. What is perversion if not having unchecked passion, the same passion that fuels artistry.
Make art that you think is fuckin sick as hell. Make the shit you never thought you could that you always wanted to see. Beat your insecurity to death and fight to become your own favorite artist.
I don't want to yuck anybody elses yum, and I know this is a pretty controversial take, but I'm starting to get a bit burned out with the protoframes. I know they're money printers so they won't be stopping anytime soon, but they don't feel special anymore to me.
because im in my mid to late 20s, i fear the day i draw 2 characters and suddenly become the villain of the week for not realizing its taboo among neurotic 15 year olds to draw those characters together. its a whole world out there that occasionally shows up on my timeline.
