On the occasion of your 64th birthday, I extend my warmest wishes to you, Your Excellency, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi.
In a time when our nation yearns for principled leadership and moral clarity, your life has come to represent the possibility of a politics grounded in integrity, discipline, and service. You have consistently chosen the path of prudence over populism, of compassion over convenience, and of conscience over conformity.
As former Governor of Anambra State, your tenure was marked by fiscal responsibility, investment in education and health, and a governance model that placed the people first. Even outside public office, your continued support to schools, hospitals, and communities across Nigeria speaks volumes of your philanthropy and commitment to humanity.
Your unwavering dedication to the public good — in governance and as a private citizen — continues to inspire many across party lines and generations.
As you mark this new age, may you be granted greater strength, wisdom, and grace to remain steadfast in your convictions — and may your voice continue to echo where it matters most: in the hearts of the people.
I wish you peace, health, and many more years of impactful service to our beloved country.
Happy 64th Birthday, Your Excellency. – AWT
Give me your 60 seconds & I'll teach you how to introduce yourself in a graduate school/job interview:👏👏📈📈✈️
1. When you sit for an interview, the most common (yet dreadful) question is
• Tell us about yourself.
• Allow us to know you better.
• What should we know about you?
• Can you introduce yourself briefly?
2. Instead of being shocked at the question, you can stun them with your answer if you divide it in 3 parts:
1. Where you come from
2. What are some of your values
3. What makes you apply to this position.
Like:
Part 1:
"Good morning/evening. I'm delighted to speak with you. I hail from XYZ (state/city) in ABC (country). If there are any famous features of your city, or any geographical markers that make this city beautiful, let them know.
It gives a nice personal touch to your ans.
Spend no more than 20 seconds on this.
Part 2: Talk about your values briefly.
What guides you in life?
What do you like to do in general?
If you're applying for a research position, you could say,
"I've been a curious individual all my life. Once I (add a strory from your past that shows them you're actually curious). Then talk about how your curiosity has led you onto a path of research today & that's why you are applying to their position.
Spend 20-30 seconds on this.
Part 3:
Finally, talk 2-3 aspects about WHY you are applying for this position very briefly.
You could mention the keywords of their program/lab that makes you gravitate towards this position.
Spend no more than 20 seconds on this part.
In about 1-1.5 mins, you will have a stunning answer to the most dreaded "Tell us about yourself question."
Would you use this template to craft your introduction?

Traveling through Abuja International Airport today, the lady in front of me at immigration had 3 kids with her. They asked her for the letter of consent from the children’s father allowing them to travel. I immediately challenged it and asked why they were asking her for that.
The Immigration officer said the Immigration Act allowed them to do that. I asked him which section but he couldn’t say. I immediately googled the Immigration Act and it does say they could ask for relevant documentation.
I argued that the consent letter wasn’t relevant documentation, that it was against her Constitutional right not to be discriminated against because she was as a woman, and that the Immigration Act was inferior to the Constitution.
The officer asked me “Which Constitution?” I said: “The 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.”
At this point, a more senior Immigration officer joined the argument and told me that it is a matter of practicality and not of law. I asked him if they asked men too for a consent letter from children’s mums when they travel with kids and he said they do.
I didn’t believe him but couldn’t prove otherwise. The lady produced the consent letter and they let her pass.
I will test it next year when I plan to travel with my grandsons.
