Do not make the mistake to think that you cannot legitimately prosecute a 6-hour prayer session ONLY in tongues.
You can.
As long as you are not tonguing mindlessly, you can pray ALL of your prayers for that session in tongues. You can.
Don't get it twisted. You should carry your mind along in prayer. But that doesn't necessarily mean you'd be doing large swatches of the prayer with your understanding. It might. But not necessarily.
The model is still: Pray in the spirit, with your spirit and your understanding.
And if praying in the Spirit means ONLY praying with your spirit, then by all means pray in the Spirit.
If praying in the Spirit means ONLY praying with your understanding, please pray in the Spirit.
If praying in the Spirit means utilizing your spirit and your understanding in prayer, do it.
Just pray in the Spirit.
If it's your birthday and I ask for your birthday pictures and the one you just took has you dressing like the daughters of the Philistines, I will look for another picture I have and post to honour you.
If I don't have any befitting photo I will not post anything. The word of mouth felicitation should do.
Same thing with wedding. If you won't dress disgracefully to your wedding, your train should respect you enough to not dress inappropriately. And if they want you to dress to their wedding as if you're one of the nollywood Igwe's maidens be bold enough to tell them to leave you out of their train.
Don't lose your fire because you want to sustain a friendship.
Also, Christians who seek to honour Christ don't cohabit. They don't put themselves in a place where they can be tempted. Plus, they know that premarital sex is a sin. Like, until you're married, you're not married, even if your wedding is one day away. They know that our God, who is all-wise, wants our best and would have legitimized fornication if it is required for a successful marriage.
Christians who honour Jesus give NO PLACE to the devil. Cohabiting gives PLACE to the devil.
DICTIONARY. Cohabiting:
Share living quarters; usually said of people who are not married and live together as a couple.

I will get married as a virgin. I’m proud of being sexually disciplined in today’s world. If people can come online and brag about multiple sexual partners, I can brag about chastity.
Muslim lady: Islam teaches men to treat their wives nicely, that’s why your sisters are running off to marry our men.😹😹😹
Me: Awww… you mean the same Islam that tells men to beat their wives in Surah 4:34? 😏
Muslim lady: You’re taking it out of context! It doesn’t say beat!
Me: Oh really? It says: “But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance, [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them.”
Muslim lady: You don’t understand Arabic, that translation is wrong.
Me: LOL, the Arabic word wa-ḍribuhunna literally means “to strike” or “to beat.” It’s the same word used elsewhere in the Quran for actual physical action, not symbolism. So… what exactly are you saying?
Muslim lady: I’m not here to debate. You are rude and arrogant… I’m going to block you now.
Me: Wait, before you block me… do you at least agree that Islam allows men to beat their wives?
…Seen.
🚫 Oops. Blocked.
Well, she read it, and I’m pretty sure she agrees, she just wasn’t brave enough to say it out loud. 😅
