1/6 I created this image for everyone to use wherever they want.
Ai creates the “art” you see on the backs of artists being exploited. Ai “art” is currently scraping the web for art and uses it in datasets. No artist gave consent to have their art used. We were not compensated
"stop gatekeeping art" (let me make money off of your work) "why are you afraid of progress" (i would like to profit from you without your consent) "this is an accessibility issue" (i want to access your skill for moooney let me just steal your art come on)
ART FRIENDS, Wanted to share how far we’ve come in just 2 weeks of informing people of Unethical Ai and the dangers of exploiting Data! All of us are capable of creating change. There's more work to do!!
Let's Unite!!
#CreateDontScrape
The TRUTH. None of us consented. You are
Stealing out Identities through our art, personal data and signature styles. Hell, even our signatures

Some arguments today I heard defending AI art.
" AI is doing exactly what humans do. Take inspiration, learn, and add a new take - if not better"
" But what about fan art? That's art theft because you're making profit from someone else's stuff" (lol)
Out of all the things we could automate with AI, we are choosing to kill creativity and the human intent behind why we make Art?
How disappointing is this.
On the topic of #AIart: a common defense for AI is that it learns from other art in the same way humans do, therefore it's not theft.
So I wanted to try to illustrate how that's not accurate.
@vladislove666@Seismic_Shrimp@DataBirb69@SulimoJou@Blushingbunn@teacupbun I think, by definition, yeah, it could be considered infringement. While the artist did the work, it’s ultimately for the copyright holder to say if they’re ok with fanart or not. Artists appreciate fanart so i haven’t seen a case like that-
@vladislove666@Seismic_Shrimp@DataBirb69@SulimoJou@Blushingbunn@teacupbun Artists that make handmade products are also struggling and not a lot of ppl buy painted portraits (still a market ofc!). Digital art is just where most of it is rn (animation, concept art, design etc) so it’s a valid concern
@vladislove666@Seismic_Shrimp@DataBirb69@SulimoJou@Blushingbunn@teacupbun Oh sorry, I meant concept artists as in artists who do character design (turn arounds and what not) prop design, environment design and all of that. What art is and makes you feel is a very open concept so i won’t go into it :’)
@vladislove666@Seismic_Shrimp@DataBirb69@SulimoJou@Blushingbunn@teacupbun Me again :’)
I think it’s mostly how scary it is for new artists. Concept artists have very specific functions that AI art can’t do (probs yet) but certain views of ppl like “well i won’t pay artists now” and the theft is what’s worrying the community
@vladislove666@Seismic_Shrimp@DataBirb69@SulimoJou@Blushingbunn@teacupbun I’m super sorry if I’m not coming across, I’m bad at writing down my ideas. Collages and photobashing are ok, but profiting from it without credit to the artists that helped by taking the pics so you could put it together- personally, i think its stealing
