Who was Ratko Mladić actually fighting against?

Video footage from the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina raises serious questions about the role of the international community and UN forces during the conflict.

Some footage appears to show members of the El Mujahideen unit, associated with foreign Islamist fighters, being transported in UN vehicles. Their presence in Bosnia was part of the broader arrival of foreign mujahideen who fought on the side of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The El Mujahideen unit was later linked to serious crimes against Serb soldiers and civilians, including torture and killings in the areas of Ozren and Vozuća.

This footage therefore raises an important question:

If UN forces were supposed to remain neutral and protect civilians, why were members of one side being transported in UN vehicles?

And perhaps even more importantly — why have the crimes against Serb victims and the presence of foreign jihadists in Bosnia received far less attention in Western public discourse?

This is not about justifying anyone’s crimes. It is about asking whether the history of the Bosnian War has been told completely and without double standards.
