@racingoncourse Racing Post paper used to publish gate prices but not now. Courses dont encourage walk ups, with early bird online ticket sales a clever marketing trick. Subtract the online ticket admin fee and it should be cheaper to walk up ! Gone are the days of a morning decision to go
@tony_calvin@AKBets Are race sponsorship deals regulated ? If so, how on earth did a firearms manufacturer that makes assault rifles, grenades etc. get to sponsor two maiden hurdles at Chepstow last week ? Not a good look for the sport.
@Wcountryracing@Sean_Bowen_ Certainly the best NH jockey riding today. Consistently gets the best out of his mounts, which is all a punter can ask for.
@AntepostValue Used to go all 4 days with several others. Now only go 1 day. Remainder is split between local pub who puts up a big screen and lays on food. Taking turns to have everyone round our homes (byo) and a quiet solo tv recovery day
@kevinblake2011@AtTheRaces People are paying serious money to see 7 races. Reducing it to 6 wouldn't wash. Personally I think we only get 5 proper races on the Wednesday as it is.
@tony_calvin I was in the stand near the winning post. There were 2 screens. One tiny screen set right back from the track about a furlong out and another large screen at the top of the run in. The tiny one was useless from my position with the advertising. Can't speak for those opposite it
