💭 Why is it important to 'Salute our sisters' this Black History Month?
Joan Saddler OBE, Director of Partnerships and Equality at the NHS Confederation says "We have paved the way, others have paved the way and we will continue to pave the way. Celebrating our sisters!" 👇
If everyone who has been grateful for the NHS over the past 75 years followed and retweeted we’d reach a million by midnight
Please take just two seconds to show you’re right behind NHS staff
As we mark the 75th anniversary of the #Windrush, we pay tribute to those who have gone before us. Over the years, many direct descendants have spent a lifetime working in the #NHS following in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents before them.
#WindrushDay
Today is a day of reflection for me. Thinking about the amazing sacrifice my parents, aunts, uncles and many more unselfishly made so that my generation & those after could have a better life. Thank you #windrush family. I salute you all ❤️
☀️#SummerSolstice2023
As many of us get ready to celebrate the short summer night, our Estates and Facilities teams will be keeping our hospitals running. They are the unseen backbone of the NHS and we're incredibly thankful for all they do #HealthEFMDay
Love my work but sometimes it’s hard. Brought to tears listening to an international nurse talking about how excited she was when she first came & how she lost hope as she was treated with disdain, experience dismissed. She said “we come bearing gifts but…you’re not wanted” 😢💔
Our anti-racism conference 'Courage in the face of discomfort' has started!
Joan Saddler OBE explains why an event like this is so important.

Congratulations to George Kenney, Head of Nursing for CHUGGS, who was “completely surprised” at being awarded our first @daisy_uhl Nurse Leaders award.
“I’ve been very lucky to work with many excellent nurses over my wonderful career and this is a real highlight to retire on.”
