Quinea hens don’t need a clock, a doorbell, or a neighborhood watch. The minute something is awry, they sound the alarm like the whole farm is under attack.
A squirrel moves wrong…ALARM.
A truck pulls in…ALARM.
A Bobcat shows up…get out here NOW 😂💛
It’s never too late for breakfast. The clock may say 1:30 in the afternoon, but my stomach is still convinced it’s 7:15 on a Saturday morning and somebody ought to be frying bacon.
People can call it brunch if they want to sound fancy. I call it scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, and coffee strong enough to put hair on a bald eagle 💛
Baloo watched today as I did some outdoor yard work. I don't think he quite agrees with why he can't follow me outside. Especially since now he's pretty much taken to following me everywhere else.
He's a good boy though, he's learning bit by bit to stay back away from the door, and he did follow me room to room and would look out the windows as I mowed both the back and front lawns.
I'm trying to enjoy each and every new day with Baloo, trying to drink it all in. Part of me though can't wait for the first time I get to put the fireplace on. I want to see his reaction to being able to curl up in front of it, undisturbed and have a safe and deep sleep! It won't be long. Fall, the rainy season and those cooler nights are right around the corner.
It's nice waking up to a fur friend who is eager to say good morning to you! It was a good day! 🥰
This is Oklahoma noodling at its finest. 🐟
She wades waist-deep into a muddy creek, reaches down into the murk, and comes back with an absolute monster catfish — bare feeted, no rod, no reel.
Just you, the mud, and a whole lot of trust in whatever’s hiding under that bank. 😂
That’s not fishing… that’s foot-to-fish combat.
Would you ever stick your foot into a hole and hope a giant catfish bites?
I thought this was just urban legend. Nope. It's not.
Apparently some displays look so real at places like Ikea, Home Depot etc, that people think they're real. This is where we are as a society. Yep. Nod. Yep.
