So, it appears the MAGA cultists and @realDonaldTrump are once again blaming Nancy Pelosi for the January 6th insurrection.
So, let me ask ONCE AGAIN if any MAGA member can answer these questions:
1) Why would Nancy Pelosi orchestrate an insurrection to STOP the certification of an election HER candidate won?
2) If Nancy Pelosi was behind the January 6th insurrection, then why did @realDonaldTrump pardon all of "Pelosi's insurrectionists?"
3) If Nancy Pelosi was behind the January 6th insurrection, then why did Trump attempt to create an "Anti-Weaponization Fund" to pay her insurrectionists?
4) If Nancy Pelosi was behind January 6th, then why did Trump wait for over 3 hours without stopping "Pelosi's insurrection?"
He would have called in the DC National Guard.
5) If Nancy Pelosi was behind the January 6th insurrection, then why did Trump go on live TV and tell "Pelosi's insurrectionists" - "We love you, you’re very special?"
6) If Nancy Pelosi was behind the January 6th insurrection, then why did Trump call "Pelosi's insurrectionists" patriots?
7) If Nancy Pelosi was behind the January 6th insurrection, then why did @realDonaldTrump call "Pelosi's insurrection" a "Day of Love?"
8) If Nancy Pelosi was behind the January 6th insurrection, why would her own "insurrectionists" be looking to murder her?
You MAGA idiots are such easy fucking marks for Donald Trump's LIES and BULLSHIT bcos you lack even the most basic of critical thinking skills.
Donald Trump makes fools of you all.
@MukhJaneet@sirDukeDevin It’s in the Constitution that if you were born here you are a citizen. He’s writing executive orders to change that and even the loyal Supreme Court went against him.
@MukhJaneet@sirDukeDevin He took money from National Parks and used it for his vanity projects. He took money from DHS to make commercials. One was a campaign commercial he used 2 yrs ago and he tried to say it’s public service.
@MukhJaneet@sirDukeDevin Power of the purse. He is taking money Congress appropriates for things and using it for what he wants. Just yesterday he took 52 million in military assistance and changed the countries Congress designated it for. Again, against the Constitution.
@MukhJaneet@sirDukeDevin First Amendment is freedom of speech. Trump is banning reporters based on negative reporting of him. You can’t ban someone because you don’t like what they say about you. That goes against the Constitution.
@Christo12919382 She inherited the committee along with the Senate seat. The dumbest (with a b) thing I’ve ever heard of. She won her primary so her constituents deserve what they get. She’ll probably win in Nov too. All that matters to Congress is that she will rubber stamp Trump’s agenda. 🤨
@HawleyMO Never before has a presidential candidate been such a criminal. He’d be in prison now if he didn’t run. BTW that’s the main reason he ran in the first place. Anyone not in the cult knows it.
@donkoclock Omg he was so proud of himself with his ‘gotcha you just perjured yourself’ moment, and ended up making a total fool of himself. I’m glad Klobachar clarified. What a moron
@iiDollaDollai@Leah_pg18@unusual_whales Who says they’re impossible to pay back? Where are the stats proving that?
You people are nuts. Anyone should be able pursue a degree they want and be afforded to take a loan like anyone else. This administration continues to crap on the little guy while making themselves richer
@Leah_pg18@no_barz_go_brr I guess we can agree to disagree. I just read the department of Education’s statement which makes so much sense to me now. If you have to repay a loan with a lower paying occupation you will delay starting a family. That’s what it come down to.
#PROJECT2025
@no_barz_go_brr@Leah_pg18 The loans are paid back with interest unless the person defaults or unless there is a forgiveness. It’s still a shitty thing to do. But hey let’s give those billionaires more tax breaks. 🙄
America already has a doctor shortage. Republicans just made it harder to become a doctor, and that's only part of it.
The Big Beautiful Bill eliminated Grad PLUS loans for new borrowers on July 1. Federal borrowing for professional programs is now capped at $50,000 a year and $200,000 total, and that total includes any federal loans taken out for undergrad. The median four-year cost of medical school for the class of 2026 is $297,745 at public schools and $408,150 at private ones. Students are left to cover $100,000 to $200,000 or more through private loans that need good credit or a cosigner. Most 24-year-olds have neither.
Nurses got hit too. The Education Department's final rule left graduate nursing off its list of "professional degrees," which would have capped nurse practitioners, nurse anesthetists and midwives at $20,500 a year, less than half of what medical students can borrow. A federal judge stepped in and nursing was put back on the list for now, but the administration tried to make it harder to train the people we already don't have enough of.
Then there's the earnings rule.
Starting July 1, 2027, programs whose graduates earn less than a set benchmark, roughly what a high school graduate makes for undergrad programs, can lose federal loan access if they fail two years out of three. It doesn't look at what the college charges, only at what graduates earn afterward. The New Republic reports that art, music and social work programs are hit hardest.
So the government isn't fixing tuition. It's cutting off the loans for the programs that lead to lower-paying jobs and capping them for the ones that lead to higher-paying jobs. The kids who can pay out of pocket will be fine, and everyone else gets told what they can afford to become.
The AAMC warned that ending Grad PLUS would worsen the doctor shortage.
Republicans wrote it into law.
